We have an interesting opportunity on our main hospital site within the Capital Team for a permanent full time Project Manager (Capital) to support implementation of a major portfolio of RAAC and other capital projects.
This role is critical in establishing the contexts in which health care is provided. As a Project Manager you will play a significant role in building secure, modern and supportive facilities for patients, workers and visitors alike.
Every project you deliver – be it a ward refurbishment, an upgrade to essential infrastructure systems or the establishment of new clinical facilities – will have a direct and lasting effect on the experience of patients using our hospital services.

Key responsibilities
The job holder will manage allocated capital projects and support the successful performance of the Trust RAAC Program . This will involve planning, co-ordinating and managing projects from start to finish, ensuring that specified objectives, timeframes and budgets are met.
The Project Manager will work closely with directly employed workers, contractors, consultants and other specialist service providers to ensure that projects are implemented safely, efficiently and in line with statutory, regulatory and Trust standards.
The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that projects are managed effectively to achieve the highest standards of service delivery within the resources available and guaranteeing compliance with all relevant legislation, codes of practice and governance procedures.
When not directly involved in capital project delivery the post holder will help the Operational Lead for RAAC in the maintenance, development and enhancement of the Trust estate. This will entail involvement with projects to ensure the hospital environment is safe, compliant and fit for purpose and to support the delivery of high quality patient care.
The post will entail close working with clinical, operational and technical partners, balancing competing goals and ensuring that project outcomes fit the Trust’s strategic objectives and improve the experience of patients, staff and visitors.
We are seeking to employ a band 6/7 clinical pharmacist to join our friendly supportive pharmacy team. We invite applications for both band 6 and band 7. It is a great chance for a dynamic, self-motivated and enthusiastic chemist wishing to expand their clinical skills. This is also a great chance for a newly trained pharmacist (with expertise in hospital pharmacy) or for a current and motivated band 6 pharmacist wanting to go to band 7. This role is full time, permanent and situated at Prospect Park Hospital, although we also have inpatient sites in Newbury, Wokingham, Maidenhead and Slough. The postholder will be involved in rotation plans which will encompass mental health and community health wards, dispensary, medicines information and medicines safety.

Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Specialist Palliative Care Nurse to join the Specialist Palliative Care team at West Cumberland Hospital to deliver high quality, person-centred care to patients and their families. The post provides a chance to build expert palliative care skills working alongside Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNSs), the Consultant in Palliative Medicine and the larger multidisciplinary team to support the delivery of compassionate care across the hospital.
The job holder will manage a clinical caseload, prioritise and respond appropriately to the variable and often unpredictable requirements of patients and families. They will work with a high degree of autonomy, exercising professional judgement and receiving advice from senior colleagues as appropriate. The post holder will work flexibly across both hospital campuses and support community teams as necessary by the service needs.
This would be a fantastic opportunity for someone with some knowledge and experience of palliative care who want to expand their skills and pursue a specialise within this area of care, backed by an experienced professional team.
The job will be based at West Cumberland Hospital and will serve patients with palliative and end of life care needs working in close collaboration with the entire clinical team and community services. The role is 30hrs per week, worked over 4 days, Monday to Friday, 08:30-16:30.
Main duties of the role
Deliver excellent, individualised palliative care to patients and their families at West Cumberland Hospital.
Work with Clinical Nurse Specialists, the Consultant in Palliative Medicine and the entire multidisciplinary team in providing professional advice, assessment and support for complex palliative care patients.
Participate in the assessment, management and review of patients to assist successful symptom control, advance care planning and end of life care.
Collaborate with hospital teams and community services to provide safe, coordinated and timely care and discharge planning.
Contribute to the teaching, training and mentorship of colleagues in the hospital and wider multi-disciplinary team.
Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation according to professional, clinical governance and organisational norms.

Glasmor Ward is a 15 bedded rehabilitation ward that specialises on Elderly Care. You will be working closely with all members of the multi-disciplinary team and supporting families, this is a critical role in making sure the best possible care is delivered to the patients on this ward.
