About the Role
We are proud of our community and proud of what we do.
We create a culture where our clients are at the centre of all we do – through trust and respect, enabling individuals to build skills, collaborate and innovate to find solutions, be open, take responsibility, to listen and learn.
We give short getaways away from the family home at Meadow Lodge, supporting clients to participate in meaningful activities.
We work with customers and their families and paid and unpaid carers to make sure they are involved and heard and we will support the customer in the best way to allow them to maximise their independence.
We will give regular training opportunities to support you in your capacity and you will be supported to perform a 26 week probationary term with regular meetings during this period to monitor progress.
You will need to have a valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle unless other appropriate transport or a reasonable adjustment is granted.
Why Choose Us?
Wiltshire Council is a friendly, welcoming place to work, with a ‘One Council’ ethos.
Our hybrid working model requires office-based staff to be on site for at least half their hours, community-based staff to spend at least half their admin time in a workplace and customer-facing roles to work entirely from their service location.
We are dedicated to establishing a workplace where healthy relationships flourish and everyone feels engaged, supported and able to perform their best.
We have zero tolerance for discrimination, bullying or harrasment.
We all have a role to play in building a culture of inclusiveness, decency, trust and respect, led by our vision and Our Identity.
Please remember to check your spam or junk mail regularly for any information from us regarding the status of your application.

If you have applied for this post within the last 6 months you do not need to reapply.
We will keep a record of your application and will consider it.
We are committed to protecting and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expect all staff to share this commitment.
