Job Description
An intriguing opportunity has arisen to join The Walton Centre Neurology Team. The Division of Neurology offers a wide range of clinical and non-clinical services in 14 hospitals, including a full neurological outpatient service. The successful candidate will be a part of the Neurology Divisional Senior Team and will report to the Clinical Business Manager. The job is headquartered at The Walton Centre.
Main Duties
The post holder will have responsibility for the day to day operational management of the Neurology service.
Provide operational leadership and support to sub-specialities including pathway building, service improvement and providing rigorous Data quality KPI.
Responsible for providing services within agreed quality boundaries, recognising improvements and potential hazards within areas of responsibility.
The candidate will be responsible for operational performance, and for ensuring delivery of KPI’s including waiting time targets and contracted activity levels.
Assistance with activity planning and capacity and demand modelling planning.
Take ownership of service delivery against defined quality standards, identifying improvements and potential hazards in the areas you are responsible for.
Support the divisional leadership team in delivering cost improvement plans (CIP) and have budgetary power and responsibility for certain areas.
The post will help the Divisional Manager and Clinical Business Manager with service improvements and lead on specific activities within Divisional Transformation efforts to ensure great quality of care is delivered.
You need good communication and leadership skills, and to be able to demonstrate that you can keep positive in difficult times.
