REQ000559 – IT Desktop Analyst – THE ROLE
As the IT Desktop Analyst you will deliver an efficient and competent 1st and 2nd line technical support service to students and staff across the University, supporting a wide variety of IT and digital media services.
You will diagnose and address technical issues in line with service level agreements, support staff devices and computer labs, troubleshoot software, hardware, printers and infrastructure queries and provide AV and event assistance as required.
The work will also include installation and maintenance of IT equipment, including specific hardware and software utilised in teaching and research environments.
The Successful Applicant Will Require the Following
HND level or equivalent or relevant & practical job experience.
Customer service orientated.
General knowledge of IT and AV technologies in the context of a teaching setting.
Expert skills related to Windows, M365 apps and Mac OS.
Experience with phone, email and instant message assistance.
Experience of using incident management systems and resolving tickets.
An understanding of the legislative framework that exists around IT.
Proof of current professional progress.
Training will be given to ensure equipment is delivered and maintained in a proper manner and they will be aware of and will implement the Health and Safety policy.
