As a Support Worker you will give person centred care and support to individuals with, but not limited to, learning difficulties, autism, mental health issues and physical disabilities.

Main responsibilities:
Personal care
Help with daily tasks such as washing, clothing, toileting and feeding when necessary.
Promote independence
Encourage service users to make decisions and to live as independently as possible and assist them in this.
Assistance with everyday tasks
Assistance with preparing food, cleaning, shopping, medication management.
Emotional support
Provide reassurance, create trust, offer encouragement, offer companionship.
Monitoring and reporting
identifying and reporting changes in physical or emotional health to senior staff.
Community Engagement
Help persons gain access to the community, attend appointments, or participate in social events.
Safeguarding
To promote the safety and well-being of service users in accordance with safeguarding policies and procedures.
Documentation
Keep detailed records of support given and results obtained.
What we are looking for
Personality
Passionate, understanding, compassionate
Good communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to operate successfully as part of a team and on one’s own
Ability to work shifts, including weekends and evenings
Experience in a similar capacity or equivalent qualification for health and social care, but not essential as training will be offered.
