Summary

Hope Homecare are searching for compassionate, reliable and dedicated Home Care Workers to join our friendly nurse led team.

The role is to support adults and children in their own homes, particularly those with complex care requirements, to promote independence, dignity and person-centred care.

As a Home Care Worker you will provide practical and emotional support to service users in the community allowing them to be secure, comfortable and well in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Provide personal care such as bathing, clothing, grooming, toileting and continence care
  • Support service users with mobility, moving and handling, and safe use of equipment.
  • Help with medication and check the well being of service users
  • Provide support to persons with complicated care needs upon completion of full training by the company
  • Food prep, nutrition and hydration assistance
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to service consumers.
  • Keep care records accurate and report issues properly
  • Create a safe, clean and comfortable atmosphere for our service users
  • Work closely with families, healthcare providers and the whole care team
  • Travel safely to and from service users houses in the community

Requirements

  • A kind, empathetic and dependable attitude
  • Good interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Ability to operate individually and as part of a team;
  • Previous care experience desirable but not needed – complete training will be provided
  • You must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to your own vehicle
  • Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK.
  • Sponsorship for drivers with their own automobiles may be available

2. Pharmacy Technician (Primary Care)

Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity within the West Neighbourhood at Northumbria Primary Care for a Band 4 Annex 20 Pharmacy Technician, an excellent development opportunity for those who have not yet completed the CPPE training to develop skills and progress within the role.

The selected candidate will help deliver a fully integrated primary care medications management system in accordance with current best practice.

The Pharmacy Technician will be expected to undertake duties largely inside practice but will need to be flexible to meet the larger demands of the network.

This work is part of a career progression pathway and could lead to the completion of a CPPE certificate and into a Senior Pharmacy Technician post (training and budget dependent).

This role is covered by the provisions of Agenda for Change Annex 20 – Development of Professional Roles, whereby you may progress to the next pay band without the necessity for an application for a post at a higher level following completion of an accepted set of competences.

Main responsibilities of the role

The function will allow the efficient and successful distribution of medicines to patients e.g. medicines supply, actioning of discharge summary medication modifications, liaising with care homes addressing prescription issues and supporting the organisation shift to online prescription services.

Knowledge of primary care operations and use of SystmOne would be desirable but not essential.
