The ICT Lead for Cyber Security will be the Trusts’ specialist in all areas of cyber security protection, detection, response and recovery. The ICT Head of Cyber Security will be responsible for the strategic approach to cyber threat management, and the strategic planning of current and future IT security solutions. The post holder will be responsible for the management, support and development of the Trust cyber security team.
In addition to working towards and maintaining Cyber Essentials Plus and ISO27001 certification the ICT Head of Cyber Security will own and be accountable for completion of elements of the Data Security Assessment Toolkit in respect of ICT cyber security obligations. As a Systems Support Specialist you will provide expert support for core business and clinical systems including national applications, ensuring high availability and optimal performance for all end-users throughout the Trust and commercial partners. You will work with the Digital Transformation Team to create, configure and deploy innovative solutions, working with a wide range of stakeholders including project teams, business change leads, information governance and external vendors. This will make sure that coordination between dependent workstreams and projects flows smoothly.
The main duties of the profession
You will assess complex data, fix system issues and recommend improvements that increase service delivery and operational efficiency. The function is to manage access restrictions, facilitate data transfer and cleansing and maintain high levels of confidentiality and information governance. The role will be a mix of hands on technical delivery with leadership and cooperation to drive improvements in data quality, governance and continuous improvement across the Trust.
Experience of cloud based data engineering and modern analytics platforms with knowledge of Microsoft Fabric (including OneLake, Data Factory pipelines, Lakehouse / Warehouse architecture and notebooks), Azure data services and an awareness of scalable data platform design and advanced analytics capabilities is desirable.
Principal job duties
Healthier Futures Drive data/analytics delivery, working closely with analysts, developers and performance teams.
Collaborate with the Data Engineering team to design, develop and optimise data models and pipelines for performance and scale.
Design, build and manage high quality Power BI dashboards, data models and reporting solutions that deliver clear, actionable insights.
Work with the Data Warehouse team to tune queries, check ETL procedures and keep the Trust’s data warehouse up to date.
Identify and highlight data quality issues through reporting mechanisms, working with Data Quality Leads and operational teams to ensure errors are resolved at source.
Work with the clinical and corporate departments to ensure analytics products are aligned to national submissions and local performance priorities.
Facilitate Data Governance Group meetings for lead service area ensuring that actions, risks and issues are documented and monitored.
To share knowledge and best practice to develop resilience throughout the team to support the Trust’s data improvement objectives.
Participate in a rota as required to enable early morning and out of hours monitoring of data warehouse loads.
