Summary
The Warehouse Operator will be responsible for the organization and control of stock within the Warehouse at Carmarthen mill. Your responsibilities will also include the intake of Raw Materials. The successful candidate will be expected to work shifts and preferably hold a forklift licence. excellent organization abilities, an excellent eye for quality and detail.
Job Purpose
Compare current Production status to vehicle loading criteria to identify products suitable for loading. Discuss any difficulties with the Team Manager on bin management and loading order. Carry suitable communications equipment (radio or cell phone) to ensure you can maintain contact with other personnel at all times.
Ensure that car compartments are in the proper position and locked before loading. Check cross contamination before loading. Report instances to Shift Leader.
Operate FLT for totes loading, tote out or any other warehouse activities and complete right documentation.
Sampling of finished product. Report product shortages or quality deficiencies to Shift Leader.
Load vehicles to gross and axle weight restrictions. Sheet up truck going between out-loading and weighbridge and when loading complete. Keep the cab neat and tidy.
Co-operate and communicate well with other mill and transport staff to help Mill & Transport Team effectiveness.
Participate in training activities required for the role or additional to the role as determined by the Company.
Maintain clean and tidy work areas and follow cleaning practices.
Where appropriate, undertake Risk Assessments prior to work commencing.
