Due to continuing growth within our business we are looking for an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to drive our warehouse operations, improve efficiency and ensure accurate and timely client order fulfilment.
Summary of the Job
The Warehouse Operations Manager will be responsible for all day to day warehouse operations including inventory management, goods receiving, storage, order fulfilment, dispatch, personnel supervision and operational performance. The chosen candidate will be responsible for the smooth running of warehouse processes, maintaining stock records and implementing enhancements to enable business development.
Principal Responsibilities
Manage the daily operations in the warehouse.
Supervise warehouse staff and delegate daily responsibilities.
Arrange and oversee the work of receiving, storing and shipping products.
Keep track of stock and maintain proper inventory records.
Carry out stock takes and check for any differences.
Ensure client orders are chosen, packed and despatched correctly and on time.
Manage relationships with courier & logistics providers.
Track warehouse productivity and operational KPIs.
Improve warehouse layout and operating efficiency.
Develop and implement warehousing policies and standard operating procedures.
Ensure adherence to Health & Safety legislation and business policy.
Train, assist and monitor the performance of warehouse staff.
Prepare reports on the warehouse and stock performance to upper management.
Work collaboratively with purchasing, customer service and management teams to ensure stock availability is effective.
Find ways to reduce operational costs while maintaining service quality.
Assist in warehouse planning to accommodate business growth.
Key Skills & Experience
Prior experience in overseeing warehouse operations.
A good understanding of stock control and inventory management.
Supervisory experience of warehouse staff.
Strong organisational and leadership capabilities.
