Summary of the Job
Children’s Residential Support Worker – Barnsley (2-bed EBD residential home) We are recruiting for a caring and reliable Children’s Residential Support Worker to work within our 2-bed EBD residential home in Barnsley.

Principales fonctions
Support children & young people with everyday living, mental health, and independence.
Follow individual care plans and risk assessments and act accordingly. Provide care that is safe, nurturing and child-focused.
Help youngsters with activities, appointments, education and involvement in the community.
Document and keep accurate records of care.
Follow safeguarding protocols and make sure the environment is safe.
Work efficiently with colleagues, families and other professions.
Essential / Desirable Experience
Experience of working with children or young people in residential care, education or social care is preferred.
Understanding of protection, trauma, EBD and attachment informed care.
Ability to stay cool and professional under pressure. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Flexible and reliable, including availability for evenings, weekends and sleep ins.
It would be beneficial to have a full UK driving licence.
