As a Band 3 Supply Chain Assistant, you will be a key member of our Estates and Facilities team, ensuring the smooth operation of the vital delivery of medical and non-medical materials that directly influence on the treatment of our patients. As a Supply Chain Assistant you will be an integral part of our Materials Management service, helping to keep things running smoothly. You will be responsible for controlling stock levels, processing orders and ensuring consumables are delivered to wards and departments in a timely manner.
The key responsibilities are to put away merchandise, rotate stock to keep it fresh, reconcile delivery notes and spot chances to decrease waste and enhance efficiency.
This role is all about collaboration. You will collaborate with clinical staff, suppliers and the procurement team to satisfy department demands, ensure compliance with safety and infection control standards and address supply concerns quickly. Must have excellent communication skills and be detail-oriented and able to prioritise work.
We are searching for a proactive team player with knowledge of stock control or supply chain systems, ideally within the NHS. This gratifying role is a great opportunity for someone with expertise of procurement processes, manual handling and a client driven approach.
