Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Post Office and Retail Customer Service Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be Accountable to boost the Post office and Retail business sales to meet targets and take hard business objectives.
Job Summary & Duties
Motivate the team to meet individual and branch targets including sales, shrink, waste, cash loss and staff costs.
Support the Director’s personnel lifecycle from recruitment to appraisals, training and disciplinary procedures.
Maintain the daily accounting, stock units and the main safe as per Post Office Ltd and corporate rules.
ensure branch operations are in line with relevant financial and statutory standards.
Good leadership qualities to gain respect from their team members and motivate them to do successfully.
Maintain store floor stock levels, handle deliveries and do visual merchandising.
Carry out cash deposits, banking transactions and end of day until reconciliations.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and enforce age-restricted product rules.
Create a customer service led culture that is continually looking to improve performance.
To provide a professional and friendly service to all customers by all staff.
To ensure the branch meets complete compliance with all current legislation, POL compliance and training standards.
Be proactive with the staff. Maximise possibilities to promote sales and enhance footfall. Improve your online visibility.
Cash Handling and Balance on the Post Office horizon.
Excellent problem solving skills to efficiently handle difficult problems as and when they come.
Skills & Experience Required
Proven expertise 2+ years in post office and convenience store.
Experience using Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and Post Office software (e.g. Horizon).
Self-starter with good numerical skills and leadership potential.
Ability to work varied shift patterns including early mornings, late evenings and weekends.
Required Qualifications
Degree or similar practical experience.
Salary
£29,000.00 – £33,000.00 per year
