Pharmacy Assistant (Tier 2 Work Permit)
Summary of the Position
We are looking for a committed and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant (Tier 2 Work Permit) to join our healthcare team.
The selected candidate will work alongside chemists to dispense drugs, provide exceptional patient care and ensure the seamless running of pharmacy services.
This position is a great opportunity for individuals with pharmacy technician experience or for individuals who would like to develop their skills in a professional health care environment.
Paid position for individuals with a Tier 2 work permit.
Duties
Assist chemists to accurately and effectively prepare and dispense prescribed medication.
Support the administration of medication in accordance with safety guidelines and under supervision.
Answer patient questions, provide medication guidance and support health promotion efforts in a compassionate manner.
Keep accurate records of medication stock levels, expiry dates and inventory management.
Ensure the pharmacy environment is clean, well organised and compliant with health and safety regulations.
Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, processing of prescriptions as needed.
Work with healthcare experts to optimise patient outcomes and improve service delivery.
What is Needed
Previous pharmacy technician experience or similar expertise in a healthcare setting greatly preferred.
Understanding of drug administration methods and patient care practices.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication skills, showing empathy and professionalism in communicating with patients and team members.
Ability to operate individually and in a multi-disciplinary team.
For this role, a valid Tier 2 work permit is essential.
Adherence to regulatory standards in healthcare environments, maintaining confidentiality.
