Care Manager – Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS)
The position:
Skye House – Inpatient Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) We are looking for a compassionate and driven Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our team at Skye House. The post is a key role within a multi-disciplinary team providing high quality, evidence based care to children and young people with severe mental health challenges.
The chosen candidate will join a friendly and reflective team that emphasises professional development, staff wellbeing and collaborative working. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime chance to impact the lives of young people and their families in a significant way. The position holder will provide strong leadership and clinical knowledge to the team in support of the delivery of safe, effective and person-centred care.
All roles will be reviewed against current Home Office guidelines for sponsorship eligibility. Where criteria are met, these are exclusively available from NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC).
Length of time, Location and Work Schedule:
Various hours Temporary
1x Full-time post 36 hours 1x Part-time post 14.4 hours
Shift schedule – Full-time post: Monday- Friday 09:00 am- 5:00 pm Part-time post: Tuesday and Thursday 09.00 am 5:00 pm
Base location Skye House Stobhill Hospital AIPU
Responsibilities:
Offer high quality, evidence based care to children and young people with acute mental health challenges.
Support and coordinate the nursing team to offer care that satisfies standards set by professional groups, patients and families.
Supervise the delivery of care and provide efficient care coordination.
Coordinate worker resources to facilitate safe and effective delivery of services.
Support integration of care between families and external agencies and community teams
Contribute to diagnostic and treatment interventions for young people aged 12-17 years with a spectrum of mental health issues and neurodiverse requirements.
Be a Care Manager, assisting the clinical team to triangulate care among all key stakeholders.
Knowledge, training, credentials and/or experience necessary to perform the job:
Registered Mental Health Nurse qualification.
Expertise in clinical practice and strong leadership.
Understanding and use of trauma-informed practice.
Experience in monitoring and evaluating delivery of care.
Knowledge of resource management and manpower coordination.
Ability to operate efficiently in a multi-disciplinary team.
Knowledge of assessment and treatment of children and adolescents with mental health problems.
Understanding the needs of Young People with neuro-diverse presentations and mental health issues.
Commitment to collaborative working, professional development and ongoing improvement.
