About the Position (Care Worker jobs with visa sponsorship)
Premier Care Support are looking for caring, trustworthy and person-centred Live-In and Domiciliary Care Workers to join their team. You will work with adults with a variety of needs in their own homes assisting them to live as independently and comfortably as possible.
This work would suit someone who lives near Amersham, Chesham or High Wycombe and surrounding area has a full UK driving licence and has the use of their own car. You will need to travel between clients’ houses and go to appointments therefore you will need reliable vehicle.
We have a 3-4 month performance evaluation period after which we are happy to discuss sponsorship opportunities for those who demonstrate extraordinary commitment and capability.
Main responsibilities (Care Worker jobs with visa sponsorship)
You will be expected to comprehend the psychological, emotional and medical needs of each resident and provide care in a compassionate, person focused approach.
As a Live-In and Domiciliary Care Worker your responsibilities will include:
Companionship – having conversations that matter, encouraging interests and hobbies, and helping to fight loneliness.
Personal care – helping with washing, dressing, toileting and giving continence support when required, always preserving dignity and privacy.
Mobility support — assisting residents to move around securely in the home and use mobility aids as needed.
Medication administration – giving medication as per the care plan and documenting all doses on the Access Planner at the point of administration (complete training offered).
Household tasks — light housework such as vacuuming, laundry and tidying, as detailed in the care plan.
Meal preparation – planning, cooking and serving nutritious meals or helping residents to prepare their own meals if suitable.
Shopping and appointments – assisting residents to shop, collect prescriptions and order medication, attending medical visits with residents and noting outcomes on the Access Planner.
Emotional and behavioural support — supporting the resident through emotional episodes by implementing the Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) tactics outlined in the resident’s care plan.
Security and safety — ensuring the property is safe and secure and reporting any problems immediately.
Record keeping — completing care notes accurately and on time on the Access Planner and making clear verbal handovers to oncoming workers.
Teamwork and communication — encouraging good communication, passing on resident’s information on a need-to-know basis and working in line with corporate rules, procedures and culture.
Key criteria
Lives near Amersham, Chesham, High Wycombe, Chalfont or surrounding area.
Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to your own car (insured for business use if applicable).
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
A caring, patient and courteous approach to care.
Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings as needed.
Willingness to do the necessary training (ie. medication, first aid, PBS, physical handling).
The right to work in the UK.
