HR Manager – UK Visa Sponsorship

Regarding the Work

Title of Position: HR Manager

Location: London’s Charing Cross (office-only)

Hourly Pay: £24.00 to £25.00

Type: Temporary

Duration: Continuous (till permanent hiring; permanent hiring is a possibility)

Start Date: As soon as possible (handover period required)

Working Hours: 40 hours a week, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.


Summary

We are looking for a seasoned and practical HR Manager to work in a fast-paced, high-performance professional services setting.

As the main HR contact for the London office, you will engage closely with senior leadership and collaborate with a worldwide HR team in this broad generalist role.

In addition to providing operational HR services, the position offers the chance to support strategic people initiatives such as hiring, performance management, employee engagement, and culture.

A self-assured HR professional who enjoys working with senior stakeholders and thrives in independent responsibilities would be a good fit for this role.


Important Duties

HR Business Collaboration & Leadership Assistance

  • serve as the London office’s main HR point of contact.
  • Give managers and staff professional HR guidance and assistance.
  • Collaborate closely with top leadership on both strategic and daily HR issues.
  • Encourage efforts to improve leadership effectiveness, engagement, and culture.
  • Participate in creating and preserving a culture of high performance.

Hiring and Onboarding

  • Oversee the whole hiring process, including posting jobs, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and making offers.
  • Communicate with outside search partners and oversee connections.
  • Encourage college recruitment efforts and early careers.
  • Supervise the onboarding procedures to guarantee a seamless and satisfying work experience.
  • Oversee the coordination and onboarding of new interns.

Management of Performance and Talent

  • Encourage and oversee cycles of performance reviews.
  • Create documentation and reports for senior stakeholders.
  • Help with talks about talent, preparation for promotions, and calibration procedures.

Relations with Workers

  • Serve as the initial point of contact for enquiries about employee relations.
  • Encourage the probation and performance management procedures.
  • When necessary, communicate with outside legal counsel on complicated issues.

Compliance & Immigration

  • Oversee the entire sponsorship and visa procedure.
  • Verify adherence to Home Office regulations and UK employment law.
  • Collaborate on complicated instances with outside advisors.

HR Systems & Operations

  • Keep up-to-date HR documentation and systems.
  • Create personnel records, contracts, and modifications.
  • Examine and revise the employee handbook and HR procedures.
  • Encourage continuous enhancement of HR systems and procedures.

Experience and Skills Needed

  • demonstrated expertise in a generalist or independent HR position.
  • Strong stakeholder management abilities and the capacity to sway top executives.
  • HR lifecycle experience from start to finish (recruitment, ER, performance management).
  • strong familiarity with HR compliance and UK employment law.
  • Knowledge of handling several priorities in hectic settings.
  • Strong organising abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Self-assured, autonomous, and capable of choosing choices.
  • Excellent communication skills both in writing and speaking.
  • A solution-oriented and analytical approach is desirable.
  • Experience working in financial services, professional services, or other high-performance settings.
  • exposure to immigration and visa sponsorship procedures.
  • Experience collaborating with multinational teams.
  • knowledge of HR systems, such as Personio.
  • Proficiency in German (helpful but not necessary).
