Windrush Care is an independent home care provider, assisting customers in the comfort of their own homes across Gloucestershire.
We are searching for an experienced, compassionate and reliable Senior Home Carer to join our growing team and to give excellent care and support to clients in their own homes.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced care worker who is already working in the UK under a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) and want to transfer their sponsorship to Windrush Care.
Sponsorship pathway
This position is for a person who:
· Are currently on a valid Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) in the UK.
Are employed and are meeting all their contractual responsibilities with their current sponsor.
Want to transfer their sponsorship to Windrush Care.
· Can do secondary employment up to 20 hours per week (initially Windrush Care).
· Available to work with Windrush Care for approximately 4-8 weeks in a secondary employment capacity before full sponsorship is offered, subject to satisfactory performance, reliability and completion of our required checks.
· Meet the appropriate conditions for a Skilled Worker sponsorship application in the future.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Candidates must be eligible to take up the initial secondary employment in addition to their current sponsored work. Windrush Care are not able to give sponsorship at point of appointment.
About the Role
Senior Home Carer
As a Senior Home Carer you will be delivering person-centred care and support to clients in their own homes supporting them to preserve their independence, dignity and quality of life.
Your responsibilities will be:
· Providing high quality personal care and practical support.
· Helping clients with activities of daily living.
· Assist with medicines according to care plans and corporate procedures.
· Helping clients with mobility and transfers as needed.
Preparing meals and assisting with home activities as required.
Building pleasant and professional relationships with clients and families.
· Noticing and reporting changes in a client’s health, wellbeing or circumstances.
· Keep accurate and up to date care records.
· Delivering care to personal care plans, risk assessments and company policies.
· Supporting independence, dignity, choice and respect
· Providing support and assistance to other care staff, where appropriate.
· To serve as a positive role model and to uphold high professional standards.
· Raising any safeguarding, health and safety or care concerns appropriately.
Basic Requirements
MUST: Applicants
· Live in Gloucestershire.
· Full UK driving licence.
· Have access to a reliable vehicle for work purposes.
Experience of working in a domiciliary or equivalent care environment.
Be operating within the conditions of their existing sponsorship and have a current Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS).
Be able to work 20 hours per week of secondary employment with Windrush Care at the start.
Be prepared to work the first 4 to 8 weeks in secondary employment before being considered for full sponsorship.
Be dependable, professional and committed to quality treatment.
· Good communication and interpersonal skills;
· Ability to work on own and as part of wider care team.

What We Provide
· 37.5 hours per week after full sponsorship.
· £14.15 per hour Monday – Friday
· Weekend rates improved.

Key Sponsorship Disclosure
This opportunity is for those candidates already legal working in the UK under an existing CoS wishing to change sponsor.
During the first assessment period of 4-8 weeks, candidates must be able to continue with their current contractual commitments and undertake allowed secondary employment with Windrush Care.
Windrush Care will not offer full sponsorship until the first period is successfully completed and all checks and eligibility conditions are met.
