Home Care Assistant- UK Visa Sponsorship Available
Job Description
We are looking for kind and committed Home Care Assistants to give great support to people in their own homes. This role involves supporting clients with their daily activities, making sure they are comfortable and safe and encouraging independence. The ideal candidate will be a great communicator, reliable and have a real passion for making a difference in people’s lives for the better.
Duties
Providing personal care assistance to clients, including bathing, dressing and grooming
Help with moving and transfers to promote safety and comfort.
Assisting with feeding as needed and food preparation
Administering medications according to care plans and directions
Providing clients with companionship and emotional support
Light cleaning, laundry, and other housework
Maintaining accurate records of care delivered in line with organisational policies
Seamless care delivery through excellent communication with clients, their families and healthcare providers
Driving to clients’ houses as needed, utilising business vehicles.
Prerequisites
Valid UK Driving Licence and ability to drive safely to client sites.
Must be living in Hexam or be prepared to relocate
Experience of working within a care home or home care setting is a benefit but not needed since training will be offered
Knowledge of care plans and capacity to execute them accurately
Good command of English language, both verbal and written, to communicate effectively
Basic IT abilities for record keeping and documentation
Excellent communication abilities to relate to clients and team members
Compassionate Attitude with a genuine interest in delivering individualised care
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to work different shifts, mornings, afternoons or evenings, as needed
This offer is conditional on a satisfactory enhanced DBS check, positive references and the capacity to work in the UK.
Our induction programs are supportive and individualised training programs as well as constant education and growth. There are also great prospects for progression with access to (NVQ/QCF) qualifications.
Pay rates depend on the type of work you do, whether you are employed on a permanent, part time or casual basis, your level of experience and your qualifications.
Working hours per week are between 8 and 38 hours. It will depend on your flexibility and availability of shift.
Eligible applicant – existing permission to work in the UK. Please note Visa Sponsorship for this position is possible only after 3 months of employment.
