Domiciliary Care Assistant (Bury St Edmunds & surrounding areas)
Car Drivers & Motorcyclists Only | £14.24 – £14.80 p/h | PAID TRAVEL TIME
WE PAY YOUR TRAVEL TIME – From Your First Phone Call To Your Last Phone Call.
We at Availl respect your time. You’re paid for every minute from the start of your first call to the end of your last call, including all travel between customers. No gaps unpaid.
£14.24 – £14.80 per hour | Weekly Pay
Permanent Set Rota | Full-Time & Part-Time

Availl are looking for passionate Care Assistants to join our Domiciliary Care team in Bury St Edmunds and nearby communities. This is a community-based profession where you support people in their own homes to help them remain independent, safe and comfortable.
Please note: This is a domiciliary care role including house visits across the community. Care visits are 30 minutes and longer and you will be travelling between client homes during your shifts – and that travel time is fully reimbursed.
Car Drivers & Motorcyclists Only For this Position
The nature of domiciliary care and the remote places we cover around Bury St Edmunds means you must be a car driver or motorcyclist to apply.
Desired Qualifications
We want caretakers who can commit to a permanent defined rota with agreed working days and availability.
This is an excellent opportunity for people seeking regular ongoing work instead than ad-hoc shifts.
We are looking for both:
Full Time Care Assistants
Care Assistants (Part-time)
All candidates must be available to work every other weekend.
Available Shift Patterns
We provide care through the day and are searching for carers who can work within one or more of the following time periods:
Morning Calls 07:00 – 11:00
Lunch calls: 11.30-15.30
Tea Calls 16.00 to 19.00
Bed Calls 19.30 – 21.30
It’s good to be available for a few call periods and it can add a few more hours.
What You Will Do
Personal Care, Medication Support, Moving & Handling, Meal Preparation, Light Housekeeping, Companionship & Emotional Support, Promotion of Independence & Dignity.
Important Requirements
Caring, compassionate and trustworthy nature
ESSENTIAL: Full UK driving licence and access to own car/motorcycle (Car Drivers & Motorcyclists Only)
Ability to travel to clients’ homes particularly in remote areas around Bury St Edmunds
Excellent communication abilities.
Ability to operate autonomously and in a team environment
Previous experience of care would be an advantage but is not needed since complete training is given

DBS: We would recommend that you have a DBS Update Service membership, however it is not needed since we may apply for a new Enhanced DBS on your behalf.
Sponsorship Information:
We do not sponsor or transfer sponsorship for Skilled Worker visas. If you are legally able to perform supplemental employment and have valid sponsorship from another employer then we may be able to offer up to 20 hours per week alongside your present sponsorship arrangement.
