Nursing Support Worker (Community) – Health and Care visa

Overview of the Job

The Carmarthenshire Community Nursing Service and Continuing Care Team at Crosshands Health Center in Carmarthenshire is looking for a dedicated and experienced Nursing Support Worker.

Working throughout the county and providing care for people residing in Carmarthenshire’s three localities will be part of the job.

As a member of the community nursing services team, you will be in charge of giving patients with terminal, palliative, or life-limiting conditions excellent care in their homes.

By adhering to care plans and treatment interventions as assigned by the registered nurse and possessing the capacity to function effectively without direct supervision, the position holder will guarantee that patients, their families, and carers receive high standards of individualised care in the home setting.

With a diverse range of nursing skills, Carmarthenshire Community Nursing Teams take great delight in fostering professional growth and raising the bar for community practice in accordance with current health policy.

Weekends and bank holidays are included in the seven-day workweek for this permanent post. There are both full-time and part-time hours available.

The post holder must be able to move between locations quickly.

Both English and Welsh speakers are allowed to apply, tho speaking Welsh is preferred for this position.

The four primary hospitals are Withybush Hospital in Haverfordwest, Prince Philip Hospital in Llanelli, Glangwili Hospital in Carmarthen, and Bronglais Hospital in Aberystwyth.

Five community hospitals: Tenby and South Pembrokeshire hospitals in Pembrokeshire; Tregaron Hospital in Ceredigion; and Amman Valley and Llandovery hospitals in Carmarthenshire

Aberaeron and Cardigan, two integrated care facilities in Ceredigion, as well as a number of other community settings

43 general ophthalmology practices, 8 ophthalmic domiciliary providers, 97 community pharmacies, dental offices (including four orthodontic practices), and 47 general practices (six of which are supervised by the health board)
