Location: You need to be currently living in, or willing to move promptly to, Stevenage,
Sponsorship Switchers: We are open to applications from those already in the UK who want to switch sponsors. However, Vinea Care has a very stringent Sponsorship Pathway. You will be needed to complete a 3 month assessment period on your existing Right to Work status before a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) is given. Sponsorship is performance driven – it’s not guarantyd from day one.
Job Description:
Vinea Care is a leading Domiciliary Care provider. We do not provide care home services, our Care Assistants visit our clients at their own homes, across the Hertfordshire community.
You will be making a real difference to people’s lives by offering specialist support which includes palliative care, enablement care and helping children and adults.
This is a physically and emotionally difficult profession but is very rewarding. It is a role for dedicated workers who want to establish a long term career in care.
Working Hours and Rota Requirements
Hours: 40 Hours per week.
Availability Requirements: You should be available to work 6 days a week with 1 day off to complete these 40 hours.
Shift Patterns: Home care means early starts and late finishes. You must be available to work shift patterns between 06:00 AM and 10:00 PM (22:00).
Pay & Benefits
Hourly Rate: £13.32 per hour (Standard calls) up to £13.64 per hour (Complex/HCC100 clients).
Travel between clients, paid at the rate of £0.45 per mile.
Travel Time Your hourly pay rate includes travel and waiting time.
Equipment: Company mobile phone and all relevant software provided
Main Responsibilities
Travelling to clients’ homes in Hertfordshire to give timely, trustworthy care.
To assist adults and children with washing, dressing, toileting and grooming in a respectful manner.
Support clients getting palliative and enablement care.
Administer medications securely and update digital MAR charts accurately.
Help with mobility and safe moving/handling (hoists where trained).
Cooking and light house work.
What we want from you
A valid UK Driving Licence and your own reliable car (Essential).
The opportunity to move to Hertfordshire before your first shift (if you are not local).
Strong reliability and work ethic.
Professional, pleasant and polite demeanour on the telephone and in person.
Previous experience is an advantage but complete training is given to the suitable individual.
