Providing tailored care to improve the quality of life of the elderly and others with particular health requirements. The ideal candidate will have a true passion to help people. Responsibilities
Assist clients with activities of daily living such as personal care, dressing and mobility
Specialist care for people with Alzheimer’s, dementia or other cognitive impairment
Assist with medication administration and management as per care plans
Help with minor housekeeping to maintain a safe and tidy environment
Provide companionship for emotional support and mental wellness
Accurately document care provided and communicate any concerns to superiors.
Good communication skills and a compassionate approach to clients of all ages including children where applicable
Ability to deal with behavioural issues with patience and professionalism
Ability to undertake physical chores associated with caregiving that may include bending, lifting, or standing for long periods of time
Ability to work multiple shifts as required in the community care setting
