Introduction

We are looking for Care Assistants to help adults, young adults and older persons to live securely and freely in their own homes and communities as Home Carer, Live-In Carer & Elderly Support Worker.

We are looking for roles across Rugby, Coventry, Warwickshire, the greater Midlands and Staffordshire. If you have a loving attitude and want to help others, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
Provide personal care to clients including washing, bathing, clothing, grooming and continence care.
Give medications correctly and promptly according to individual care plans.
Prepare nutritional meals and help clients with eating, drinking and staying hydrated.
Foster authentic trusted relationships with each and every customer Offer companionship and emotional support.
Assist with modest household chores including cleaning, laundry and shopping errands.
Support clients with dementia, learning difficulties, physical disabilities and palliative or end of life care requirements.
Escort and accompany clients to GP appointments, hospital visits and community activities.
Reside in the client’s house providing continuous, around-the-clock support during the placement.
Assist older clients with mobility, daily routines and meaningful activities that enhance wellbeing and independence.
Liaise with families, health experts and the PSL coordinating team in relation to client wellbeing and any changes in condition.
To ensure each client’s house is secure, clean and comfortable.
Complete accurate and timely care records and daily logs after each visit or shift.
Report any concerns, incidents or changes in a client’s condition to the care coordinator immediately.
Knowledge
Essential
A kind, sympathetic, patient and reliable disposition – this is more important than qualifications.
Good verbal and written communication abilities.
Flexible working hours including early mornings, nights, weekends and bank holidays.
Full UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle.
Willingness to undertake a DBS check (PSL will help with the application procedure).
Working in the United Kingdom.
Preferred
Previous experience in domiciliary care, live-in care or geriatric help (welcome but not needed – complete induction and training provided).
Experience in supporting clients with dementia, complicated care needs or end of life care.
Care certificate, NVQ level 2/3 in health and social care or similar qualification.
Experience with longer live-in placements (usually 2-4 weeks on, 2 weeks off).
Knowledge of CQC guidelines, safeguarding and person centred care.
