As a Band 3 Clinical help Worker (CSW) you provide a valuable and important contribution to the delivery of high quality healthcare and help the registered professional in the delivery of safe, effective, compassionate patient care. To ensure that the orders of the licensed professional who is professionally responsible for the delivery of care are carried out promptly and accurately. Assist with supervision of other health care and support professionals as assigned.To undertake duties as detailed within the Trusts approved core work listfor Clinical Support Workers/Healthcare Assistant without directsupervision.should notify any patient of concern or any changes in the state of the client or patient to the registered professional.Provide and deliver a high grade of personalised care under the direction, but not the direct supervision of the certified professional.To report any care offered to patients within the team to a qualified professional.

Main Responsibilities To precisely and promptly carry out the instructions of the registered professional who is professionally accountable for the delivery of care. To help in the supervision of other healthcare and support professionals as directed. To carry out duties as defined in the Trusts approved core job list for Clinical Support Workers/Healthcare Assistant without direct supervision. To inform the registered professional of any patient of concern and any noticed changes in the client or patient’s condition. To provide and provide a high grade of personalised care under the direction but not direct supervision of the registered professional. Inform a qualified professional within the team of all care delivered to patients. To be able to document all care provided to patients, countersigned by a certified professional, always protecting confidentiality. Assist in the preparation of patients for therapy, investigations or procedures as recommended by the registered professional. Keeping the clinical space clean & neat, providing a safe atmosphere. To demonstrate an understanding of cross infection and adhere to Trust infection control policies. Escort or chaperone patients as required under the direction of theregistered professional. To help family show compassion and understanding while being guided by a certified expert. To help in the discharge process for patients as advised by the certified professional. Take all necessary means to ensure the safe keeping of patients property in accordance with Trust Policy. Provide a professional, pleasant and uncluttered environment. Keep all storage places safe, clean and tidy. Participate in the care and maintenance of all equipment in the clinical area, including all equipment cleaning. Disposal of all garbage and soiled linen in line with Trust policy. Participate in the audit conducted by the licensed professional. CLEAN AND CHECK BEDS, BED SPACES AND LOCKERS IN THE PATIENT AREA AFTER DISCHARGE AND BEFORE ADMISSION (INPATIENT ONLY). Make sure deliveries are stored correctly and stock is maintained at the required level. Assist the housekeeper with general housekeeping activities, reporting as needed basic cleaning needs (inpatient only).
