Role Requirements; 24/7 care package. M is in her 30’s and has a complex, progressing disease meaning she needs 24/7 support.
Now living in Glasgow, where she is engaged in the city’s thriving art and music scene, she is still creative with eye-gaze technology and finds expression and identity via her work and her love of music.
M lives next door to her parents and sister, and has a close-knit team of care.
She spends her days listening to music, podcasts, reading, being outside, watching films and doing art.
She is clever, artistic and emotionally sophisticated and is seeking assistance from people who actually understand her for who she is despite her impairment.
What the role involves
What the role involves – You will support M with all areas of daily living including:
Fully supported with personal care, nutrition (PEG feeding), medicines and clinical tasks
Manual handling and repositioning (particularly when awake – 2:1 help needed)
Eye gaze technology to support communication
Offering emotional support and assisting M in coping with the psychological consequences of her condition
Giving her access to her passions and creative outlets – from exhibitions to movies, theatre, dance, literature, poetry and music. M is already an artist using her laptop, and is excited to learn how to DJ using her eye gaze.

Experience in health or social care is a plus but not a need – we’re looking for the right individual, not the perfect CV.

A contract that works for you half time hours on a fixed hour contract
Paid Annual Leave; 5.6 weeks annual leave if you are on a fixed hours contract (pro rata for part time) or for those who choose our flexible zero hour contract, you will accrue 12.07% on all hours worked. Funds are available upon your request.
