PLEASE NOTE: VISA SPONSORSHIP IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR THIS POSITION. Sponsorship may be considered after a minimum of 6 months’ continuous employment subject to good performance, company needs, sponsor-licence availability and immigration restrictions in force at the time. Sponsorship not guaranteed. Must have current right to work in the UK.

We are looking for two experienced Senior Female Care Assistants to deliver domiciliary care in Oakham and adjacent areas.

The opportunities are a combination of day, evening and night shifts with some weekend employment available. Shift patterns are negotiable depending on your availability and the needs of the service.

The role involves the provision of intimate personal care to female clients who have expressed a preference for female care staff and as such being female is an occupational requirement for these positions under Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010.

Please note that driving is a must for this position and there is no sponsorship offered for these positions at the moment.

You should have:

  • Full UK driving licence and use of a vehicle is essential for the role.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist with personal care includes bathing, clothing, grooming and toileting.
  • Assist clients with medication, meals and activities of daily living.
  • Provide care as stated in individual care plans.
  • Promote freedom, dignity and privacy and wellbeing of the clients.
  • Monitor and report changes in clients’ health, behaviour or circumstances.
  • Take good care of your notes.
  • Support and oversee care assistants during their shifts.
  • Support care assessments and reviews of care plan.
  • Assist with spot checks and maintain the standards of care needed.
  • Address concerns, incidents and emergencies as necessary.
  • Communicate in a professional manner with clients, families, coworkers and health professionals.

Minimum Requirements

  • Previous experience in domiciliary care or a similar adult social care environment.
  • Previous experience in a senior or supervisory care job.
  • Good knowledge of medication processes, protection and person-centred care.
  • Ability to supervise and support other care personnel.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with electronic care recording systems.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle.
  • Right to work in the UK valid.
  • Day, evening, night and weekend shifts available.
  • Reliable, professional and self-reliant.
  • An equivalent qualification to a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care is desirable.
