1. Health Courier Services Store Keeper/Driver

Summary of the role
NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership is looking to recruit Driver/Storekeeper workers to join its Health Courier Service which delivers Clinical Logistics Transport Services across all Health Boards in Wales situated in the Newport area serving South Wales.
The service processes over 120,000 items of mail/medical notes per week on average, including sorting (through its own mail sorting hubs), delivery and collection, and transfers over 5 million samples of Blood Products and Pathology annually, in accordance with Accord Dangereux Routier, Good Manufacturing Practice & legislative requirements. Our core services run from 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday. But we do run a small selection of services 24 hours a day.
There are five positions open. Positions are contracted for 20 hours a week working 4 hours per day Monday-Friday.
Two posts are expected to commence on 1st July 2026. The remaining three roles are expected to commence on 1st September 2026.
The main duties of the role
The Health Courier Service Driver/Storekeeper role will include the management of stock items within stores centres as well as the safe and secure transportation, distribution and replenishment of NHS Pathology, Blood/Blood Products, Secure and Non-Secure Stationery, Laundry, Mail/Records and Stock items such as medical consumables (e.g. needles/syringes/containers) distributed to primary health care sites; (Hospitals, GP practices, pharmacies, opticians, dental surgeries) across NHS Wales.
Welsh language skills are desirable for this role and Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
