Remote (UK-based) with regular travel to UK suppliers situated in London and other major cities.

£40,000 – £56,000 pa (depending on experience)

We source luxury products including watches and apparel items from internationally renowned brands such Rolex, Chanel and Louis Vuitton from approved UK stockists to sell or export these products to private clientele.
The majority of our customers are Chinese residents in the UK and Hong Kong.
Position
As Business Development Manager, you will be on the frontline of sourcing, customer engagement and export operations. You will be working with the Director, to grow our network of licensed UK dealers and to guarantee that our private clients in the UK and Hong Kong have a seamless buying experience.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Source luxury products (watches, fashion, accessories) from top brands’ approved UK merchants, negotiating allocation, pricing and authentication arrangements
Build and sustain long term connections with UK supplier accounts via direct interfacing with brand boutiques and licensed reseller networks
Manage unique client orders from first enquiry through to delivery, ensuring product specification, authenticity documentation and delivery timelines are met
Work with private clients in the UK and Hong Kong to establish buying preferences, advise on product availability and offer discreet, high touch concierge service
Export logistics and documentation including HMRC compliance, customs declarations, VAT retail export processes and goods forwarder liaison
Maintain correct sales, purchase and customer records as per corporate policy and trade compliance requirements
Watch luxury market trends, brand release schedules, and price changes for sourcing strategy
Comply with UK trade and export control, anti-money laundering (AML) standards and HMRC obligations for high value goods
Skills, Qualifications & Experience Required
Key
Bachelor or Master degree (or equivalent) in Business, Marketing or comparable subject
Deep knowledge of luxury goods business (watches, high fashion)
Deep insights into Chinese consumer trends and preferences in the luxury market
Strong communication and negotiation abilities
Fluent in written and spoken English, and Mandarin Chinese
Excellent organising abilities and the capacity to manage various supplier and client relationships simultaneously
Desired
Previous experience in luxury retail, e-commerce, cross border trading or similar client facing commercial job
Knowledge of UK export documents, VAT retail export programs and HMRC compliance for high value items
Built network within UK approved dealer and boutique channels

Salary competitive £40,000 – £56,000 per annum depending on experience
