Position: Digital/Data Business Analyst
Type of Job: Full-Time
Pay: £39,959 to £48,117 a year, pro-rata

Main tasks of the job
The Business Analyst will work with the Data Innovation and Data Management team to help create digital and data solutions by gathering, evaluating, and refining requirements and making sure they are well-documented and communicated for delivery.
The person in this position will be in charge of coordinating delivery activities, supporting governance processes, and acting as a critical link between digital/data teams and the business from start to finish. They will also be responsible for delivering important products across Digital Transformation and Data Management.

Responsibilities at work
The person in this position will:
Choose, use, and adapt diverse business analysis methods and technologies to fit the size, scope, and context of change initiatives.
Give help where the business analysis specialisation is most useful. This could mean leading business analysis activities or helping others, depending on how big and complicated they are. For instance:
Find out what the possible scope and needs of change efforts are, come up with good problem or research questions, get a deep grasp of the problems, figure out what the main causes are, do current state and gap analyses, and do user research to find out what the needs are.
Help create and evaluate solutions that meet user demands and the goals of the organization (for example, by mapping the user journey, gathering requirements, and evaluating possibilities).
Help others who are working on implementing solutions where they need more information in areas like acceptance criteria, acceptance testing, user testing, and looking at performance after implementation to see if more changes are needed.
Turn the results of your analysis into clear, data-driven actions and strategic suggestions that help you make decisions and improve your services.
Ask questions about and make sense of both qualitative and quantitative data, like service performance and patient outcomes, and turn them into useful information. Find patterns, waste, and chances. Check the quality of the data to make sure it isn’t misinterpreted or used incorrectly.
Make the complicated easy: take complicated information and break it down, organise it, summarise it, and change it so that it fits the needs of each set of stakeholders. Use imaginative ways to get people involved and convey facts, ideas, and vital messages in simple terms.
Demonstrate a collaborative, impactful, and adaptable work style, anticipating and preparing for potentially difficult conversations and responses, such as those arising from discoveries or recommendations for change.
Use other areas of study, such Change Management, Continuous Improvement, Improvement Science, Research, and Innovation, to add to and expand your knowledge and skills.
Talking to each other
Talk to team members and other stakeholders ahead of time to find out what data they need and help build good working relationships, both in person and in paper.
Go to different meetings inside and outside the company on behalf of the team when it’s suitable.
Work with senior and specialist coworkers to make sure that methods are in sync, including setting up the right governance structures with PMO coworkers when needed.
Make sure that the communications for initiatives are clear and effective by using different forms of communication to match the requirements and goals of different groups of people.
Use statistics, stories, case studies, and other methods to report and present information in a variety of ways to show how changes have affected workers, service users, senior leaders, and other stakeholders.
Plan, run, and lead discussions and workshops to get people involved in change. Focus on creating strong relationships to get as many people as possible on board with the change from start to finish.
Use your great communication, influencing, and people skills to get people to think differently about change and innovation, even when they don’t want to.
Being responsible for the budget
As part of an as-is and to-be analysis, you should figure out how much time and money it would take to do a procedure and what that would mean for that band or role.
