Important Information
NOTE TO APPLICANTS: We thoroughly analyse all applications and choose the best ones based on particular criteria that change from job to job. If you use a generic application to apply for more than one job or rely on automated AI application services like Lazy Apply or AI Apply, you might not get the information you need, and your application might be missed. We suggest that you send in a personalised application that directly meets the requirements in the Person Specification portion of the ad to make sure that your application is fully considered.
By sending your application to NHS Jobs/Trac, you agree that some of the information in your application will be sent to the NHS Electronic Staff Record (ESR) and other secure, internal NHS Workforce systems. This is done to help with your hiring and employment at your current job and to check your Professional Registration online, if applicable.
These steps are in line with Fair and Lawful processing as required by current Data Protection Laws, especially when it comes to your personal or sensitive personal data (sensitive personal data is any declared physical or mental health conditions, racial or ethnic origin, sexual orientation, trade union membership, political opinion, or religious beliefs). As a company, we make sure that the laws of privacy are followed. For example, we only use data for certain, clearly defined goals, and we only use data that is relevant and not too much. We also make sure that all personal identifiable information (PII) is accurate and secure.
If you are hired, filling out the application form gives the UHB permission to get any previous NHS service details, including any electronically held sickness information, through the Inter Authority Transfer process on the national Electronic Staff Record (ESR).
All candidates who are not citizens of the UK or the Republic of Ireland (RoI) need sponsorship to get either a Health and Care visa or a Skilled Worker visa in order to work in the UK. This is unless they have permission to work through another way. If you are not from the UK or the Republic of Ireland and want to apply, you should visit Work in the UK to see how likely it is that you will get a Certificate of Sponsorship. If you qualify for the Health and Care visa, the application fee is reduced, and you don’t have to pay the Immigration Health Surcharge every year.
