A position as a Nursery Nurse in the Neonatal Unit at Watford General Hospital has become available. Within the East of England network, the Woodland Neonatal Unit is a Level 2 unit (LNU) that treats unwell term babies as well as those born beyond 27 weeks of pregnancy. We also oversee a six-bed Transitional Care Unit in the postnatal ward, where we provide care for both mothers and young children.

In order to prepare babies for discharge home, the position holder will assist the neonatal nursing team in the neonatal and transitional care unit in providing individualised, family-centered care.

Principal responsibilities of the position

On workdays, evenings, and weekends, the chosen candidate will be required to be adaptable.

Principal responsibilities of the position

The chosen applicant will be in charge of handling requests and incidents that are sent to the team through the Service Desk. Diagnoses and fixes for hardware and software problems, device configuration, builds, software installations, kit provision, patching, office relocations, inspections, technical advice and guidance, and training manuals are all part of this.

In addition to adhering to a specified set of expectations that apply to service provision, the IT Support Technician will maintain continuous communication with the user throughout the incident or request allocated to the team.

In addition, the recruit will perform pro-active technical support to key areas of the Trust, respond to Cyber Security alerts, manage mobile devices, evaluate and comment on new technologies, collaborate with colleagues in specialised teams, support and maintain audiovisual equipment, asset management, store management (including delivery, storage, kit retrieval and deployment, and audit provision), triage and ticket assignment, provide SOPs, identify recurring issues, and escalate critical incidents.
