The Procurement & Supply Chain Manager is responsible for managing and directing the Company’s procurement and supply chain activities guaranteeing effective sourcing, importation, storage and movement of food products and related goods.

Main Responsibilities
Procurement & Supplier Management
Contact, assess and maintain ties with foreign and local providers of food items and related goods
Negotiate price, supply terms, goods arrangements and procurement contracts with suppliers and logistics providers
Oversee supplier performance, product quality and delivery timing and compliance requirements
Continuity and reliability of the Company’s procurement activities
Import & Supply Chain Coordination
Coordinate all aspects of import process from scheduling shipments, goods forwarding, customs paperwork, delivery planning
Liaise with freight providers, customs agents, warehouse operators and logistics partners to facilitate the smooth transit of goods
Monitor inbound shipments and manage delays, supply interruptions or logistics concerns
Procurement and logistics activities must be coordinated properly across the supply chain
Inventory and Stock Management
Monitor stock levels and stock availability at all storage points and operational sites
Forecasting stock requirements based on supply schedules and operating demands
Procurement planning to reduce shortages, delays or surplus inventories
Maintain precise stock control and inventory reporting methods
Cost Control and Procurement Strategy
Review procurement costs, freight charges, supplier pricing and operational expenses
Identify cost savings options and procurement efficiencies
Develop buying strategies that improve operational performance and supply chain reliability
Support budgeting and financial planning for procurement and logistical activities
Coordination of Operations
Coordinate procurement and supply chain activities with operational staff, suppliers, warehouse personnel and logistics partners
Ensure the efficient scheduling and transportation of commodities in the procurement and distribution process
Maintain business continuity in supply chain and inventory operations
Assistance in the daily coordination of import and procurement activities
Compliance and Documentation
Ensure procurement and import activities are carried out in accordance with the appropriate legislation, documentation requirements and operational procedures
Handle the preparation and checking of shipping and procurement documents like invoices, supplier files and shipment documentation
Ensure adherence to operating requirements and food import procedures where applicable
Keep up-to-date procurement and supplier records
Performance Monitoring and Reporting
Track purchase efficiency, supplier reliability, delivery deadlines and operational productivity
Generate reports on procurement activities, inventory status, and supply chain operations
Review operational data for inefficiencies, offer process improvements
Provide reporting and operational analysis in support of management decision making
