We are looking for a Full Stack Web Application Developer to help build the software and infrastructure that will support these resources and the workflows that go along with them. In this job, you’ll work at the nexus of biocuration, bioinformatics, and AI-enabled data integration to help build tools that scientists all over the world can use to find, analyse, and reuse biological knowledge.
What you do
This is a great chance to help with the IntAct and Complex Portal biological knowledgebases that are used all around the world.
You will create and keep up web apps and software infrastructure that help with the curation, integration, validation, distribution, and visualisation of data about molecular interactions and macromolecular complexes.
You will work directly with biocurators, bioinformaticians, and people from other countries to help design and build software that makes it easy to curate literature, integrate data, and share it through modern web services and APIs.
Your job will include:
Building and keeping up web apps that help with biocuration workflows
Making and using REST APIs and data services
Making interactive web interfaces and visualisation tools that let people explore biological information
Creating software for pipelines that check, change, and combine data
Helping to create tools for AI-assisted curation of literature and knowledge extraction
Combining curated interaction and complicated data with other EMBL-EBI tools
Working with scientists from around the world to set up data standards and controlled vocabularies

Financial incentives: a monthly family/marriage stipend of £278 and a monthly kid allowance of £336 for each child, depending on the situation. Non-resident allowance can be as high as £569 a month.
