Overview of the Job
A Band 5 full-time, 37.5-hour-per-week post with CAMHS is available. The role will be headquartered in Lower Henwick Farm in Thatcham, but it will also support the two additional areas of Wokingham and Reading.
To further support our community’s youth, the Specialist Community Teams is seeking a Child and Family Mental Health Worker to join our multidisciplinary team. Providing personalised support to youth in their homes, clinics, schools, and/or online is part of the job description. You will be required to operate under supervision in this intricate and changing environment. To provide care that maximises each young person’s unique potential, you will report to and collaborate with senior colleagues.
Working with families and/or carers in conjunction with other multidisciplinary team members is part of this role. Along with other colleagues from the Local Authority and the voluntary sector, you will collaborate with community services like children’s social care. You should ideally be thoughtful, introspective, have some CAMHS experience, and be adaptable enough to work with a multidisciplinary team. Candidates with experience (or transferable skills) working with youth with mental health concerns are encouraged to apply; it is preferable if they have previously worked with their parents or carers. - To be familiar with the Health Authority Structure, philanthropic and volunteer groups, and a variety of working methods and practices, ideally within the Berkshire Foundation NHS Trust and Social Services.
