Band 3: Ophthalmology Health Care Assistant There are 37.5 hours available.
In order to achieve the goals of the Trust, make sure that the management and organisation of nursing and midwifery services facilitates the provision of the best possible patient care. The core nursing team is in charge of making sure that efficient workflows are in place to guarantee the secure provision of patient care that is grounded in evidence. Encourage efficient patient flow and resource management in the Trust’s designated clinical region.
Principal responsibilities of the position
- To support registered nurses (or other medical professionals) in delivering superior patient care
- Always respect the privacy and dignity of your patients while giving them attentive, caring treatment.
- Contribute effectively to the departmental goals as a member of the multidisciplinary team.
- To ensure high-quality, safe care, keep improving and maintaining your nursing task competencies.
- The position holder will be expected to assist with cleaning and other ward/department tasks as needed, such as maintaining overall tidiness, making sure that predetermined stock levels are reached, and making sure that clinical equipment is hygienic, functional, and kept appropriately.
- Works under the direct or indirect supervision of licensed practitioners or assistant practitioners in order to support the department’s operations.
- A successful person must be personable, adaptable, and eager to learn. Understand the principles and standards of the Trust and always conduct oneself professionally.

Essential requirements
- GCSE Maths and English or its equivalent
- As part of the induction procedure, a National Care certificate or commitment must be completed.
- Willingness to finish NVQ 3 in care within a year of the start date or experience that is comparable
Experience

- Work in a compassionate and customer-focused workplace.
