Overview of the Job
To join our team, we are looking for a committed Garden Worker. This position is crucial to keeping our yard running smoothly and making sure that all of the supplies and machinery are arranged and easily available. To effectively contribute to our operations, the ideal candidate will have a combination of practical skills and mechanical understanding.
Duties
- Keep the garden neat and orderly, making sure that everything is stored properly.
- Drive a variety of automobiles, such as vans and flatbed lorries, to move cargo about the yard.
- Help load and unload supplies while making sure all safety precautions are taken.
- To guarantee optimum performance, do routine maintenance inspections on vehicles and equipment.
- To organise work and guarantee a productive workflow, communicate with team members in an effective manner.
- As needed, assist with inventory control and stock replenishment at the warehouse.
Experience
- Prior experience working in a yard or warehouse setting is beneficial.
- A current driving licence is necessary, and commercial driving experience is ideal.
- Having a solid understanding of mechanics will help with maintenance duties.
- The capacity to interact with management and coworkers in a clear and efficient manner.
- While not required, prior delivery or van driving experience is a plus.
