Summary
The Warehouse Operator will be responsible for the organization and control of stock within the Warehouse at Carmarthen mill. You will also be responsible for Raw Material intake. The successful candidate will have a forklift licence and will be expected to work shifts. You will be good at organising and have an eye for quality and detail.
Job Purpose
Review Production status against vehicle loading requirements to identify products ready to load. To discuss any issues relating to bin management and sequence of loading with the Team Manager. Communication gadget (radio or cell phone) suitable to contact other workers at all times.
Before loading, ensure vehicle compartments are properly closed and locked. Check for cross contamination before loading. Report any instances to Shift Leader.
Operate FLT to load totes, tote out or any other warehouse work and complete necessary paperwork.
Take samples of finished product . Report any shortfall of merchandise or quality to Shift Leader.
Load vehicles within gross and axle weight restrictions. Sheet up vehicles when travelling between out-loading and weighbridge, and when loading is complete. Maintain cab neat and tidy.
Work co-operatively and communicate well with other mill and transport staff to contribute to the effective running of the Mill & Transport Team.
Participate in job-related training activities when required by the Company or as an extra requirement.
Maintain work areas in a clean and tidy state and ensure cleaning practices are followed.
Where appropriate, conduct Risk Assessments before beginning work.
