Duties
Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment and carpentry abilities to install, repair and maintain plumbing systems.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings and specifications for installation and repairs.
Safely and efficiently lift large pipes, fittings and equipment during project chores.
Use basic math abilities to accurately measure, cut, assemble and fit plumbing components.
— Regularly check the plumbing for leaks, clogs or other problems.
Assist team members with the installation of plumbing fixtures and mechanical equipment on various projects.
Experience
Experience installing, repairing, or maintaining plumbing systems in either a business or residential context.
Knowledge of pipe fitting and system repair welding processes.
Skilled in the use of hand tools such as wrenches, pipe cutters, pliers and screwdrivers; knowledgeable of power instruments used in plumbing work.
A thorough comprehension of plumbing systems, fittings and related building infrastructure from a mechanical viewpoint.
Ability to safely and efficiently undertake heavy lifting during project execution.
Basic math abilities needed for measurements and computations for precision work.
Prior experience in carpentry work including framing or fixture mounting is desirable.
