Overview of the Job
To help those who require assistance with everyday living activities, we are looking for a kind and committed personal care assistant. The ideal applicant will be dedicated to improving our clients’ quality of life by making sure they receive care at home. Effective communication abilities and the capacity to adhere to care plans while keeping a polite and sympathetic demeanour are prerequisites for this position.
Duties
- Help clients with grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene.
- As needed, assist clients with transfers and mobility.
- When needed, assist with feeding and meal preparation.
- As directed by care plans, provide medication and make sure all paperwork is completed.
- Keep clients’ surroundings safe and hygienic, which includes keeping living areas neat.
- To guarantee continuity of care, communicate clearly with patients, their families, and medical staff.
- Accurately record daily activities and any modifications to the client’s condition.
Skills
- A driver’s license is necessary.
- The car must be accessible.
- English language proficiency is necessary for productive interactions with clients and coworkers.
- Knowledge of care plans and the capacity to carry them out precisely.
- It is beneficial to have prior experience providing home care or working in a care home setting.
- Excellent communication abilities to establish a relationship with clients and their families.
- Fundamental IT abilities for communication with healthcare providers and paperwork.
- The capacity to function both independently and in a team-oriented setting.
