Overview of the Job
For working-age adults with severe and persistent mental health needs, the Recovery Team, a division of the Gloucester Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust, offers a specialised service.
In accordance with the “Capabilities for Inclusive Practice” and the concepts of social inclusion and recovery, registered practitioners oversee the provision of care and treatment to service users in a community setting.
- To help a designated group of clients with more complicated requirements in order to aid in their rehabilitation and keep them in their community setting. to support the care coordinator in carrying out all facets of treatment and care.
- To make it easier for service users to access activities in community settings that cater to their requirements.
Principal responsibilities
- Establish therapeutic interactions with clients and carers within appropriate and transparent limits while being supervised and guided by senior practitioners.
- To successfully involve service users in the agreed-upon care plan and guarantee that access to suitable services is acquired based on needs.
- To encourage social inclusion and recovery in all facets of planned care while fostering independence and empowerment in a safe practice environment.
- Engage in the delivery of designated group projects.
- Effectively and efficiently plan and coordinate your own everyday tasks.
- Notify the team and other carers of any changes in the client’s mental health or social situation, identify any potential dangers right away, and take the necessary action.
- To administer medication and promote health by assisting with physical examinations, blood work, and outpatient appointments, among other things.
- Must uphold the Trust policy by keeping correct service user records.

- To react to various communities’ cultural standards with tact.
- Participate in the staff appraisal process and attend the designated training.
- Respect and be cognisant of the rules, regulations, and policies of the Trust.
EXPERIENCE
- NVQ level 3 or a comparable competency-based training program in a pertinent field of health or social care
- Work experience in a mental health environment
- Capacity to collaborate with others
