To join our team, we are looking for a dedicated and caring healthcare assistant. at this position, you will ensure the comfort and well-being of patients at a home care or assisted living facility by offering vital support. To provide a supportive environment for our residents, you will collaborate closely with medical specialists to carry out care plans and help with everyday tasks.
Duties
- Help patients with personal care activities such as grooming, clothing, and bathing.
- Assist residents with everyday tasks like feeding and food preparation.
- Keep thorough records of patient care and development in compliance with treatment plans.
- To guarantee continuity of care, communicate clearly with patients, families, and other members of the healthcare team.
- Assist in taking patients to appointments outside the care facility or within it.
- Keep an eye on patient conditions and swiftly notify nursing staff of any changes.
- By following health and safety procedures, you can keep the patient area hygienic and secure.
- To improve abilities, take part in professional development programs and training events.
Qualifications
- While not required, prior experience in a home care or assisted living facility is preferred.
- Effective interactions with patients and coworkers require strong verbal and written English communication skills.
- Maintaining patient records and paperwork requires a basic understanding of IT.
- When necessary, having a current driver’s license helps with patient transportation.
- The capacity to comprehend and carry out care plans customised to meet the needs of each patient.
- Success in this position requires a caring disposition and a sincere desire to assist people.
