Baker and Onsite Bakery Manager – UK Visa Sponsorship Available
Job Summary
Our baker is responsible for the hands-on creation of breads, pastries and baked items, while managing a substantial part of the overall business operation. He/she combines technical baking skills with team leadership, inventory control and profitability.
Functions
Supervise and implement daily production schedules, workflows and maintain output quality throughout team for Presentation, Service, Production, Cleanliness
Hire, train, schedule and mentor bakery and front of house workers
Control stock, order raw ingredients, minimise operational waste
Implement food safety, HACCP rules and local health norms
Resolve customer concerns, answer questions and optimise retail displays
Monitor business profitability, labour expenses and product pricing strategy
Requirements
Demonstrated experience in food manufacturing, food preparation, cooking or bakery operations in a restaurant or similar setting
Proven knowledge in culinary arts with proficiency in baking and pastry techniques
Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices as demonstrated in previous kitchen experience
Significant prior management experience leading a team in a fast-paced setting is a plus.
Excellent organising abilities and the ability to multi task efficiently and see the detail
Understanding of food safety laws and certification standards pertinent to bakery operations
A love of producing exceptional baked items that bring joy to customers and respect brand integrity
