Healthcare Assistant
We are looking a kind, trustworthy and proactive Health Care Assistant to join our devoted team of carers. In this gratifying profession you will be providing high quality support to residents and clients, encouraging their comfort, safety, dignity and independence.
If you work in a care home or provide care in clients’ homes, you will have an essential role in improving the quality of life of individuals we serve.
Principal Responsibilities
Assist residents/clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, clothing, personal care and mobility while fostering independence and dignity.
Contribute to the formulation and delivery of individualised care plans, depending on individual needs.
Provide companionship, emotional support and reassurance to residents and clients.
Maintain accurate records of care supplied utilising electronic care record systems. 4.1
Report any changes to the requirements and wellbeing of clients and update care plans regularly.
Collaborate with colleagues, residents, families and healthcare providers to achieve integrated care.
Provide a trustworthy and punctual service, driving to multiple locations when required for home-care projects.
Follow all health and safety, protection, infection control and workplace procedures.
Attend training and development workshops to continue to improve your knowledge and caring abilities.
Previous experience in a care home/home-care setting is preferable but not essential, as complete training will be given to the right individual.
Willingness to travel between sites to perform home-care duties. Full UK driving licence.
Good grasp of English both spoken and written.
Experience of electronic care record systems and basic IT abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A compassionate, patient, courteous and responsible attitude.
Ability to accurately follow comprehensive care plans.
Flexible to work evenings, weekends and other shifts if required.
A commitment to provide compassionate person-centred care.
