We are searching for a Trainee Stores Assistant to join our stores team in the Neighbourhood & Housing Directorate.
This is a strategy of career advancement based on achievement of necessary qualification milestones.
As a Trainee Stores Assistant you will be supporting the effective implementation of the stores function and supporting with various stores and yard relation functions with appropriate guidance, coaching and mentoring working as part of a team.
The work of Trainee Stores Assistant will see you helping to deliver stock goods, help with distribution and ensure the stores depot is maintained clean and tidy and that stock supplies are stored safe and secure at all times.
As a Trainee Stores Assistant, you will operate as part of a team, liaising with colleagues and staff/managers across the Service in a professional and courteous manner.
The Trainee Stores Assistant employment would involve sitting at a desk and working on a computer for long amounts of time. Use the correct equipment and safe manual handling techniques to lift and transport goods. You will need to labour outdoors all year long
To meet the criteria of the role you are expected to hold 5 GCSEs at grade 9-5 (or equivalent) including English and Maths. You will be expected to be willing to do the required training during the training program. You should be able to work as a team.”
