Medical Motorcycle Courier (Part Time)
We are seeking a professional and reliable individual to join our courier team as a part-time medical motorbike courier.
This work entails the safe and timely collecting of medical specimens from clinics and health care providers across Manchester. The selected applicant will join our existing team of couriers and will be essential in ensuring patient samples are sent safely and efficiently to support ongoing diagnostic services.
This is a flexible part-time work with collections during daylight hours, evenings and weekends based on clinic needs. This employment will suit someone who is organised, reliable and appreciates working independently but as part of a bigger healthcare support team.

We partner with clinics and healthcare professionals to collect, handle and transport medical specimens securely, efficiently and in conformity with healthcare quality and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities Medical Courier Responsibilities
Collect medical specimens on a scheduled basis from clinics and healthcare providers in Manchester.
Safely and quickly transport medical specimens to the correct laboratory sites.
Full courier collections using a motorbike provided by the company.
Follow scheduled collection routes ensuring specimens are delivered within required periods.
Handle sensitive medical specimens according to healthcare and laboratory procedures.
Keep accurate collection records where required.
Represent PathTech Laboratories in a professional manner while attending clinics and other healthcare facilities.
To efficiently liaise with clinics, laboratory staff and the larger courier team.
Hours of Work
Working as a part-time employee (about 15 hours each week).
Collection timings will vary and may include:

Weekend collections (rotational basis)

Specifications
Important:
Full UK motorcycle licence.
No points on your licence. Clean driving record.
Confidence and safety when riding a motorbike.
Good, prompt and well organised.
Professional appearance and communication.
Ability to work on own and deal with scheduled collections.
Willingness to perform necessary health checks.
Additional requirements:
Successful completion of security checks including DBS clearance.
Provision of two satisfactory referees.
Previous experience in healthcare, medical courier work or specimen transport would be an advantage but is not needed as complete training would be offered.
