Job Summary
We are recruiting caring and committed Support Workers to provide exceptional care and support to people in a Residential Setting. The selected candidate will contribute to improving the wellbeing and independence of clients whilst ensuring their safety, comfort and dignity is maintained at all times. This profession provides the ability to make a difference to people’s lives via individualised care and assistance. This post is given on a 36 hour per week contract, worked in accordance with the staff rota. Flexibility to meet the needs of the service including working weekends and bank holidays if required.
Obligations
Help clients with activities of daily living including personal hygiene, clothing and mobility
Assistance with meal preparation and feeding, if necessary
Administer medicine as prescribed
Participate in inhouse and external activities.
Monitor health of customers with medical requirements and provide basic first aid
Help with light housework to ensure a clean and safe environment
Drive clients to appointments / outings as necessary – Must have a UK Valid driving licence for manual car essential
Accurate document care delivered via electronic Care Docs system
Requirement
Previous experience in support work is desirable.
Knowledge of supporting people with a diagnosis of Mental Health.
Registering with Social Care Wales and relevant obligatory training to be conducted.
Strong verbal and written communications skills.
Must hold a valid UK driving licence for transport duties to appointments or home visits.
Flexibility to work across shifts including mornings, evenings and weekends as required by the service.
Basic knowledge of medicine administration procedures.
Dependable, well organised, able to operate individually or as part of a team
