Assistant Residential Home Manager
Where: OSJCT Grace Care Center, Whitebridge Gdns, Thornbury, Bristol BS35 2FR
Pay Rate: Up to £46,000 per year- depending on experience
Working Hours: 37.5 Hours per week (Monday – Friday, will require some weekend work)
Grace Care Center is a purpose-built home situated in the heart of the historic town of Thornbury, delivering high quality residential and specialist dementia care in a warm, welcoming and secure atmosphere. Since opening our doors in 2018 we have been happy to provide caring, customised 24 hour assistance, putting the welfare, dignity and freedom of each individual at the heart of everything we do.
Role overview
Are you a passionate Deputy Home Manager who is motivated and eager to make a difference?
Are you able to marry your excellent talents in care with the commercial acumen to manage occupancy levels, care standards and your staff in the home?
As Deputy Home Manager you will assist the Home Manager in the running of the Home. You will be responsible for rota planning, employee recruiting and both introductory and obligatory training, recognising, assessing and meeting the requirements of our residents where feasible. You will also monitor and manage individual staff performance to ensure standards are maintained and deal with any issues through the proper channels when they emerge.

ABOUT YOU:
You will have a Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) and a desire to work toward Level 4 or 5. Plus past management experience in an elderly care environment, the ability to roll your sleeves up and work as a proactive team member, a little bit of marketing and finance skills to assist boost occupancy and manage expenditures. You will have good communication skills and the ability to juggle several priorities successfully You will also be devoted to promoting and growing the highest standards of care.
