Social Workers on identified pay bands are entitled to our Welcome and Retention Bonus: £1000 paid in your first month’s salary and £1000 paid at the conclusion of your 1st completed year in service. £2000 when your 2nd year of service is complete. £3000 paid in your 3rd full year of service and every full year afterward. Social Work England Registration Reimbursement. Social Workers within this service area have the flexibility to work between home and work to suit the needs of the service whilst understanding the benefits that a hybrid form of working can bring.
About Us
Exciting opportunity for a Social Worker in the SEND Family Help Service (formerly the Children and Young People’s Disability Service)
SEND Family Help Service is a social work team and two teams of alternatively certified workers who serve children with disabilities and their families. We provide help for children with complex needs, including family networks, short breaks, direct work, preparation for adulthood and statutory social work services including child protection and children looked after.
We believe in trauma informed and restorative therapy with the whole family, grounded in strong multi agency networks of support.
Our program has been established in conjunction with the Families First method, where workers build relationships with families and draw on other services/professionals as required to support.
We have incredibly high aspirations for our young people to achieve and flourish as adults and for our service and we are starting a new journey to develop a physical multi-agency SEND Family Hub and Help Service – to become a place where all families can come for the right support and care at the time they need it.
As a Team Manager within our Family Help Service you will ensure that children, young people and their families receive highest quality assessments, interventions and suitable level of support to manage risk and prevent them from substantial harm.
We are recruiting for experienced and skilled Team Managers in statutory services with a comprehensive grasp of all children’s legislation, statutory guidance, frameworks, policies and procedures within Child Protection.
The post holder will have considerable experience in managing case allocation and will ensure that all evaluations are completed within timelines and are of constant ‘good’ quality.
As a Family Help Team Manager you will also be confident to undertake case audits and quality certify front line practice to bring forward continuous progress.
The role holder must be a qualified social worker, registered with Social Work England.
