Description:
Plessey are looking for a Logistics Coordinator to join our high-tech manufacturing location, on a 12 month fixed term contract.
Reporting directly to the Supply Chain Manager you will join a small but well embedded Warehouse Team assisting with all elements of inbound and outbound logistics.
You will be crucial to the management of materials and the flow of goods across the business supporting our production processes.
Essential Responsibilities
Receiving, checking and posting goods correctly in SAP.
Partner with suppliers and Procurement to address delivery problems, shortages or damaged products.
Ensure safe handling, storage and movement of items, particularly hazardous materials.
Operate forklift to load, unload and move materials safely and effectively.
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure materials are routed appropriately and documentation is provided.
Issue stock properly and keep good stores and inventory records.
Assist with stock counts and resolve inventory discrepancies.
Skills, Know-how, and Expertise
Valid Forklift Truck (FLT) licence.
Experience in a manufacturing warehouse setting.
Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
Strong attention to detail and correctness.
IT literate preferably experience in using ERP systems such as SAP.
