Social Media Manager – UK visa sponsorship

What You Will Do

Bolton Excellency is searching for a talented, hands-on Social Media Manager to take complete ownership of our brand presence on Instagram, Facebook and TikTok. This is not a mere strategic position. From day one, you will be running all three platforms independently with a high standard of output, responsible for the full cycle of content generation, video editing, publication, community management and paid advertising.

Primary Responsibilities

Create, plan and publish daily content on Instagram, Facebook and TikTok consistent with the brand voice, content pillars and business goals of Bolton Excellency

Production of short-form video in-house, including Reels, TikToks, and Stories, without the need for external production teams

Develop platform-native captions and scripts using researched hashtag techniques specific to each platform – no generic cross-posting

Build, implement, manage and optimise paid advertising campaigns in Meta Ads Manager and TikTok Ads Manager with complete responsibility for budget and performance

Engage with all community contacts – DMs, comments, story answers – within established response times and brand tone

Deliver regular performance reports that include reach, impressions, engagement rate, follower growth, CPM, CPC, CTR, and ROAS. Include advice based on data.

Requirements for Various Platforms

Instagram

Algorithm know-how: know the ranking signals for Reels, the weighting of engagement on Stories and the logic behind placement on the Explore page to increase organic reach

Reels production: from concept to publication – filming, transitions, audio selection, on-screen captioning, thumbnail selection and optimising of cover frame

Instagram Shopping: product tagging, shoppable post creation, catalogue management with Meta Commerce Manager

Story strategy: use interactive sequences like polls, quizzes, countdown stickers, question boxes and link stickers to boost clicks and saves

Paid placements: Meta advertising Manager experience running Instagram tailored Stories advertising, Reels ads and Explore placements with clear KPIs and conversion tracking

Facebook Comments

Page Management – health status, CTA button configuration, pinned post strategy, review management with Meta Business Suite

Meta Ads Manager: campaign structure (campaign, ad set, ad level), Custom Audiences, Lookalike Audiences, retargeting with the Meta Pixel, A/B testing creatives

Pixel Competence Set up of Meta Pixel event tracking Standard Events vs. Custom Events attribution window settings and conversion reporting

Organic strategy: content types that continue to be visible – native video, cross-posts on Reels, Facebook Live – and Facebook Group community management

TikTok

For You Page algorithm: Deep knowledge of watch time, completion rate, re-watch signals, and sharing velocity as ranking variables for For You Page

Editing Skills: CapCut & In-App Editing – Trending Transitions, Green Screen, Text Overlays, Voiceovers, Captions and Safe Zone for All Aspect Ratios

TikTok SEO – how to use keywords in your captions, on-screen text and spoken audio to rank in TikTok Search and increase your discoverability

TikTok Ads Manager: In-feed Ads, Spark Ads, TopView, custom audience creation, TikTok Pixel event tracking and campaign optimisation

Trend Mechanics: Proven success in recognising trending audio cycles, executing duets and sutures and turning platform-native content around within rapid production windows

Tools & Software You’ll Need

Scheduling: Later, Buffer, or Hootsuite

Video Editing: CapCut, Adobe Premiere Rush, or DaVinci Resolve

Design: Canva Pro or Adobe Creative Suite

Analytics: Meta Business Suite Insights, TikTok Analytics, Google Analytics 4

Prerequisites

Minimum 1 year of hands on social media management for a brand/agency

A proven portfolio of provable growth, creative excellence, and paid advertising outcomes with quantifiable ROI

Proven experience in managing paid social spending independently across Meta and TikTok with measurable success results

Independently productive workflow: able to handle a multi-platform content calendar, achieve weekly publishing deadlines and work without daily creative direction
